Arrieta is on the north east side of the island. This area of the island gets really good waves on the right conditions. There is a sand bottom wave in Arrieta and everything north of that is reef breaks. The prevailing north winds are off shore and side-off shore. When the east side is going off from big swells from the north it gets like Indonesia.
